I'm back home and I've just picked up this thread again:) I see that the good thing about Jaiku is that threaded conversations are a good way of ignoring spam.
No promises, but I will try and look back in here more often. I still rate the Jaiku concept well above other m'blogs
yesterday i had my first spammer replying to an online real estate ad. one of those "send me your private mail i have a proposal to make" thingy. ack! can we please collect the spammers and send them to pluto, one way, please?!?!?!?!
can't say i have seen spam on either. I guess some of the accounts on Twitter are spammers, but as i don't auto-follow, i don't know, or see any of it.
On Jaiku there seems a lot of spammy looking stuff on Explore, but again i don't go there that often, so i don't see it. The few bits that might sneak through, i click the "mark as spam" link on.

I thought only twitter was used for spam. Haven't had much problems with it on Jaiku.

That's the side effect of every spammer in the world hearing about the popularity of microblogging combined with Jaiku's relatively small userbase.
